B)  Faculty Awards

         * 2009: Dr. Ian van Tets - UAA Honor's College:  Faculty Exemplar Award
       
* 2008: Mr. John Gregoire - UAA Chancellor's Award for Excellence (awarded for service to students)
        * 2008: Dr. Ian van Tets - UAA Chancellor's Award for Excellence (nominated for both diversity & service to students)
        * 2007: Dr. Ian van Tets - Commitment to Excellence (National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIDDK OMHRC)

 

C)  Student Awards

         These awards were awarded by the organizers of the NIH NIDDK OMHRC STEP UP program's annual national conference.  Students from Alaska Native backgrounds are listed in bold.  The student's most recent year of schooling at the time of the award, their school, and the name of their faculty mentor are shown in parentheses.  The program organizers decided not to make awards in 2008.
